I'm trying to find out if I can get a rear disc brake conversion kit for my father's 1987 Dodge Ram D 100 1/2 ton pick up. Can anyone recomend an answer to this issue?

I'm trying to find a kit because it has been imposible to find new backing plates for the drum barkes.

Now would be a good time to simply replace whole axle assembly with a bone yard one with good brakes on it. In the long this would be cheaper.
