Why is everyone against front lift blocks. I really don't know anything about them.

they are very dangerous, and also illegal in the front. so if you put lift blocks on your front axle. be careful.

well if they are just bolted between the leafs and the axle they could slide around and wut not. i am kinda wonderin if it would be ok if they were welded to the axle?

The "problem" with lift blocks in front is that unless you have a extremely stiff spring stack it adds to axle wrap up in spring a lot for braking and drive counter torque and it can have a great effect on steering. Basically front lift blocks are to be avoided like the plague.

well i plan on putting ladder bars on it and if i would put blocks underneath they would get welded front and rear. also my springs would be quite stiff. in that situation would that be better?

I cannot honestly recommended them in front in any scenario and they should be avoided completely up front for control and stability issues. I am not very found of them in rear too but at least that is not a steering axle.

It was just a question because I was just looking at options for lifting a International truck, but now I don't need to so I swear I won't ever put front lift blocks on any thing.

I wrote an article on them a little while back. I believe you can find it online under tech.
They are very dangerous, so please DO NOT use them in any fashion.

  lol.... lift blocks are evil!!!I have them on the rear of my 81 blazer.... just saving for shakle flip from ORD

LOL...god thats funny!! Ive seen blocks on the front of 4x4s before and they wer chromed and it was a grass Queen! you dont want you IH a grass Queen do you?

Some people just do not understand that the dynamics with blocks in front are different than in rear and while they are tolerable in rear when used wisely they are NOT to be used in front.
