I am late as well on this subject, but let me start by saying that I love the red sled.  It has made me want my on sled.  I have bought a 96 3/4 ton pretty much the same truck except I have the 350 in it.  I have just about decide to swamp to a solid axle.  I will be turning my into a daily driver and have not made my mind up that the solid axle is the way to go.  I have also thought about taking the spider axle that you built and see if I could take it and replace the center section of the ifs.  That would open the door to more choices and be strong would think.  Mr. Williams what do you think.

i think that they should do a complete test, ride and drive, trail running, flex, and what ever they can throw at 'em. and test the modern or convetional IFS compared to fords TTB's that would be pretty cool.

I think its is time to to do right. Strip the IFS out and put in a straight axle. I've read every article about the Sled and it seems to me that you have tried everything you can, so a straight axle would be the way to go.

I did learn a lot about IFS threw your work on the Sled, so I thought I would also put the bug in your ear about testing the older Ford TTB (Twin Traction Beam). I've always thought of it being a more durable system than A-arm IFS. Just a thought, keep up the good work.

You already know I'm gonna push for a built IFS.

How many times can you do the same ol' boring SAS?

Just look at the Ultimate Rigs.

Avalanche SAS
Tacoma SAS
Z-71 SAS
Danger Ranger SAS

Even the evergreen Clampy had a SAS!

It's almost like a Mc Buildup! Sheesh!

Do something different.  Do an IFS build.
