I have a 86' Jimmy and I know if i switched over to a 2 barrel carburetor insted of 4 I would save alittle gas with my 350 SBC but does anyone know any other tips to save some gas i would be greatful!

oh yeah and i always take really good care of it every 2,500 miles oil change is done, new spark plugs and wires, air filter cleaned, always check my oil and trans fluid and if i must i recheck everything to be sure im not sure what else i can do to save a little more gas and money

There is no "magic" cure here. You have a Qjet if it is stock and if you keep your foot out of it it will do as good as a 2 bbl so nothing is really gained here. Engines of that era are not very efficient and have low compression and extra exhaust valve overlap and retarded timing curves and are not go starting points for best possible MPG. In 87 economy took a bit jump because while they went to TBI, the also raised CR a good bit and that together with TBI and better fuel raised the MPG potential a good bit. You could try advancing you base line timing about 6 to 8 degrees and using 89 octane fuel. (87 octane is not a good MPG fuel, especailly in warm weather) Better fuel costs maybe 2 to 3% more today and you could easily likely increase MPG enough to more than offset this (if you are getting 12 you would only have to go to 12.3 for it to pay) Tires type and pressure plays a roll here too. Big knobby tire consume more power to roll as do tires with lower air pressure and this takes more gas to overcome. Lifts add drag  which take more gas too. Exhaust plays a roll in MPG especailly around town because if you have dual it lets pressure blow down in cylinders too quickly and less energy is transferred to crankshaft. (gas engines are powered by extracting energy from expanding hot gasses, not explosions) Anyone that promises you a miracle cure is blowing smoke rings at you as it is the sum of several things in order to get best possible MPG.

If you can then I would run synthetic gear lube in both pumpkins,t case and trans.it helps out w/less friction on moving parts and will free up a little bit too.now a days any bit helps if you can afford it.

This has some merit but give drag of tires on it it will not help much. Poster would gas more gas with smaller narrower tires than any carb change and MPG could rake a further dump with two barrel as most 2bbls are heavily smogged.(he could just disconnect back barrels on current carb too)
