Not sure if this is the right spot to put this, but here it goes. I have a 1991 Cherokee that needs new motor (bearing knock) and transmission. It has the 4.0 and 4speed auto with the 4wheel part and full time transfercase. I have a motor from a 2000 Wranger 4.0 with the 5speed behind it and a transmission and transfercase from a 1990 cherokee auto with the part and full time four wheel drive. What I need to know is if the motor from the 2000 will bolt up to the transmission/transfercase from the 1990 and go into the 1991 cherokee. I will keep the intake and exhaust manifolds and the acceroires from the 1991 also. Any information would be appreciated

AMC has used same bolt pattern on its 6's and V8 since mid 70's so bellhousing is not a issue at all. Intake and manifold should not be either.

Can you put the chevy 350 in a cherokee? i know you can put a 350 crate engine in a wrangler but was wondering if the same can be done with a cherokee.

Anything is possible with time and money but engine bay is tighter on Cherokee and it like Wrangler would need a bellhousing change too. If I was going to V8 power any Jeep, I would use a AMC V8 because at least it is still Jeep powered and not a Cheveep or Jeevy.

What I needed to know is if the accesories will bolt to the front of the 2000 motor from my 91 and if the intake and exhaust will bolt on also. And what flywheel I will need to use (from what motor) because I was not sure if they were all balanced on the crank or the flywheel.

A 91 4.0 is balanced that same as a newer one so no issues there. On accessories, I cannot help you much there because mounting holes could change over that time frame. You need to inspect both blocks closely.
