My dad has a 99 tahoe its just his daily driver nothing special. His abs is giving him problems and when i was talking to him about fixing it he just told me to find the lines that go to it and cut them. he said he never liked it anyway. Would this be a good idea or will it give him problems if he cuts them off.  

All you have to do is pull ABS fuse under the hood. Cutting wires to sensors will not disable it but fuse will. Also it is not hard to fix as it is likely a front wheel sensor as it is not a uncommon problem with age.
