I have a 90 xj, and i know that the "recommended" tire size for these axles is 33". i wanna run 35" tires. has anybody ran 35" tires with these axles? if so how do they hold up? i'm no going to go hard core crawling, just some medium duty trail stuff. i'm new to the trails and am really working off of a budget at this time. any input is appreciated.

                              thanx...

As long as you do not lock axles or beat it much you "should" get by okay but regardless you are going to take a big hit on power and add a lot of extra strain to drive line if you do not regear axles.

I was wondering the same thing my family is not letting me get a full size truck so im getting a cherokee and gonna run 33s. i was planning to put 44s front and back with lockers then i got the last months mag and read a grand conversion and was going to buy those axles that come with lockers. my question is do i need 44s if im running lockers with 33s?

It depends on how you play. Lockers place a lot of strain on axles and if you plan to rock crawl I would say no. If you are just wheeling you might be okay.
