From local parts store, I was sold an AC Delco reman alternator for a 85 cj7 6cyl 258. The part number is 334-2112 and is 63 amps. I researched part number and found that it is for a 80-82 cj. Part number 334-2114 is for the 85 cj7. It is also 63 amps. The 334-2112 Alternator I was sold is not putting out proper voltage. I checked all wires and cables. I respliced some wires, clean cables and did all I know to do. Could this wrong part be the problem.

All GM alternator have had internal regulators for some time. Some of that era have a external sense wire connected in wire distribution block for reference voltage and some loop wire on back of alternator. What are you calling not proper voltage?
