So I finally got the axles and divorced 205 t-case pulled from the old 77 Ford hi-boy to use on my '83 S-10 project. I jerked the axles from the rear Dana 60 and counted 30 splines. So now I'm wondering if 30 spline shafts are gonna cut it for the 38.5 x 15 Boggers I'm planning on throwing under it or if I should just go ahead and upgrade to 35 spliners and a spool.
This is a budget project (check it out here http://forums.4wheeloffroad.com/70/6601627/sound-off/newbie-project/index.html) so I'm thinking of just keeping the 30's for now, slapping in a Lincoln Locker and see what happens. What do you all think?

A spool adds stress to axles so with 38's I would stay away from one. (I would stay away for a spool all the time in a 4x4 anyway because it can serious guiding and control issues on slick surfaces and hill sides)
