Here’s my problem. I have an 89 xj, it’s a 2 door and my passenger seat won’t fold down and the driver side will fold down about half the time.  I haven’t torn in to the seats to try and fix them yet because I don’t know what imp doing.  Any suggestions as to how I should go about this?  And another thing, I have been looking allover the internet to try and find some aftermarket seats for the xj and I'm not having any luck.  I see a lot of seats for wranglers. Will they bolt in my xj or will I have to fab brackets and hardware. Any help will be appreciated.

check out the link above for your seats. look under the seat to see if the cable is connected (should be a reversed hook) wiggle the folding mechanism to see where it is, if the cable came off, just work it back onto the release. i'm gonna give you quadratecs # as well, the have customer support, they can give you advice on the seats that you need.  1-800-745-6037
