i have a 2002 2wd s10 with the 4l60e transmission. unfortunately due to gas prices  and college i can not afford to buy a 4wd like i used to have.  i also can not readily afford to buy a new output shaft and adapter for my truck, and i need to still commute during the week for work, so selling my truck is out of the question. so i am thinking about divorce mounting a transfercase into my s10, but theres one problem. any experience i have had with 4wd trucks does not include divorce mounted transfercases. where can i get the shaft to complete this conversion. im open to transfercase applications, but prefer toyotas and np205,241's, etc. please help, 4wheeling is my passion and i want to get back asap!

my buddy had a 2wd s10 w/ a divorce mounted t-case. he got it from a place in florida. the company is chucks trucks... they are known for their heavy duty drive train...( 2.5.ton rockwells, etc.).if i'm not mistaken, he got the t-case,a crossmember to mount it, and the shafts from them.im not posotive, nor do i know what it is, but i believe they have a web-site....so try a search on them......hope the info helps!
