Im going to help a freind put a 426 wedge in his car and when i do i get the old motor which is a 440 600hp motor. i want to put this in my grand wagoner. it is a 1989 with a 360ci and a727 trans. need to know if its possible to do this.

Not likely without a lot of chopping as motor is pretty large. Terrible waste of a old FSJ wagoneer as they are starting to increase in value as they are getting kinda a rare as time goes on

Yeah a tight fit and what exhaust system are you running. Steering shaft issues!!!

If you want some power you could just warm up a AMC 401 and bolt it right in as they warm up well and after market pistons are available for it too. Even 360 can warm up nicely too as you use AMC 343 pistons in it as all 360 pistons are low compression and 343's are not. Also 401 and 360 share same block and all 360 blocks will bore out to a 401 with a 401 crank and rods too. AMC only used one block casting for 360 and it was also used for 401. They did this to simplify inventory. There was also a 401 only casting with slightly bigger head bolts that was only made a few years and most 401's used 360 block.
