I have an 87 chevy with a 10 bolt rear end in and i have a 14 bolt ff i would like to put in. Will the axle bolt right up or will i have to change anything

Depends on what year 14 bolt is. If it is 73 to 87, yes. You will need different U-clamps and spring plates

it is out of an 82 3/4 ton with a 6.2 deisel. will i have to shorten the drive shaft?

Likely yes but then current ujoint is not likely going to match yoke either.
