Does anyone know if 1997 "Z71" parts ,lift kits shocks, ball joints and other front suspension parts will work on a 1990 chevy "Silverado 4x4" both are K 1500 with same trans and engine packages. Also would the exhaust be swappable? Ihave a friend who has the Z71 in his tow yard and it would nice to get all those parts for next to nothing. Thanks

Yes and no. Suspension parts should work but 97 is a Vortec and has different exhaust and O2 sensor hook up. Could take some work.

Any work it would take to do the swap will be worth it.

A TBI 350 is tuned on exhaust differently than a Vortec and a TBI best virtue is low to mid range torque. Chopping exhaust will cut into this virtue as many find out the hard way.

You should pull the engine out of that truck too if you are taking parts from it... if it's good that is.
