my 94 yota has a 3in body lift and runs 31" meats. i know that any yota owner can run 32s. with some thought put into it i believe that I can run 33s. plain and simple I want more... about 35s (or more ). will my stock cvs survive mud and mayhem with a simple ifs lift?? i dont think so but i could be wrong. I have looked into every thing... the clampy project really got me thinking with the total chaos setup. it can jump dunes but will it hold up in mud? cvs have not liked mud in my past experiences.  i have heard alot about the downey grand slam kit... it give great flex and travel but... nothing about mud. I live in PA i see alot of mud in my future. if i am gonna spend time cutting up my truck i would rather just go all out and sas it. which brings me to my next point... toyota front axle or a dana 44... i know that the possibilities are endless. also will dana 44 hold up to a 383s power?  ive got alot of questions and alot of time (busted collar bone) so let me know what ya think !

The 44 probably would, but just to be extra safe you could put some cromoly or alloy shafts into them. I know a guy with a dana 35 rear with Yukon alloy shafts and hes running 37 in. tires.

I have a dana 44 in the front of my 96 toyota and I run 38.5x14.50 thornbirds. My front end hasn't given me a single problem. My rear was a little weak with the ford 9 until I upgraded the axle shafts after one snapped. I have taken mine through everything except dunes. No problems with the dana 44. It should hold up to the power of a 383, there are alot of upgrades for them too. Its your baby though.

i have a 92' yota with 3" body and 5" ifs lift and i love it, honestly i think it goes better than a solid axle but thats just my opinion so good luck with whichever path you take

for your axle shafts, I got in toutch with Moser Engineering, www.moserengineering.com , 260-726-6689, and they will help you get your measurment over the phone. They made mine for me. It ran me about $475, but they came ready to install with bearings and retainer clips and all. If you have the money to spend, Currie can build you a crate axle and send it to you, ready to bolt in. I have a buddy who did that with his Jeep. He had Currie build him a rear Ford 9 in High Pinion.
