Coil Over Spring Help

I would like to install coil over springs on the rear end of my '71 Bronco for crawling, but I have a few questions about it.  I currently have leaf springs with shocks on a wild horses tower. Can I mount the coil overs to the existing towers or do I have to modify my mounts, if so what modifications? Do I have to run coil overs on the front and the rear if I already have 3.5" lift coil springs on the front end, and are coil over spring safe for everyday driving?

i wouldn't think your shock tower would work cause shocks don't really carry all the weight that a coil over would carry, so i would beef it up then it might work. and if you keep the lift the same front to back it should be fine if you kept the front suspension the same.

Look at your normal bronco parts sites (i.e. Jeffs BG, Toms BG, NPD, etc.). Get a set of front spring retainers. Weld the bottom ones to your rear axle and the upper ones to your frame. Install coil springs and shocks. Go have fun.

yep, the towers will be carrying the weight, and could work depending on the strength of the towers and what length coilovers you decide to use. the height using coilovers is initially determined by the mount location/length of the unit.
so ya can make it whatever height ya want and still have the the travel distance the coilover offers.
