Gas mileage on new Titans

Im curious what the newer Titans are gettin for gas mileage. I have an '05 Titan with Air Raid air filter and Magnaflow dual exhaust thats always gotten about 12mpg where ever I go. The best Ive ever seen is around 16mpg on the highway. Ive noticed any rpm's over 2000 tanks my mpg (sometimes below 10mpg)but sometimes it's hard to keep my foot outta the gas, it just feels and sounds so good, ha ha. Anyway, I didnt buy the truck for fuel economy I was just curious if any newer trucks were faring any better.

Your dual exhaust actually hurt you MPG, especially in town. This is for two reason, first reduced back pressure reduces efficiency at low and middle RPM's and secon it cause O2 sensors to run cooler and less efficient as well causing mixture to go a little rich at times. The Air cleaner will not help MPG at all (it is a bit of a myth) as mixture is computer controlled. As you truck shipped from factory it was well tuned on intake and exhaust. That is gone now.

New ones are somewhere in the 14-16 range. It's entirely dependent on driver though. I bet you could get 16+ consistently in yours if you tried.
