Hey guys,
First of all this is my first post and I have searched all over for this info and can't find much so hope you guys can help me.

I recently picked up a 77 K10 with a 6" lift and 35" tires. When I picked it up it it was missing the front driveshaft so now I'm trying to find one that will work. I purchased one from ebay that fits but seems a bit short. I went ahead and installed it and its extended all the way out

Over all length W/ slip joint OUT: 32"

Over all length W/ slip joint IN: 28 1/2"

Do you guys know if its possible to add an extension to add 1" so extended its 33"?
Do you guys think it would be a problem to drive with the way it is now?

Sorry if this sounds like a n00b but I'm just getting into the off-road world.

Thanks in advance

Any competent drive shaft shop could lengthen it properly. Probably the reason it was missing is because past owner did not lengthen it with lift and lost/threw drive shaft.

with 6"'s the stock shaft will barely reach.

I agree with snoman.  When I lifted my first chevy I the rear drive shaft was too short.  I searched forever and found nothing.  Then someone came up with the bright idea.  Driveshafts had to come from somewhere and they dont make them all the same.  DUH I am stupid drivetrain shop.  Made mine in three days.

One word of caution here.... Make sure you extend your bump stops that limit upward/compression travel of suspension because if you do not had have a hard landing or compression you can force driveshaft into Tcase and break tcase (when it is pinned in compression between axle and Tcase, the Tcase weaker of two and will fail)
