Drill studs out with a Cobalt bit. Unlike regular hi speed steel bits, Cobalt will cut and drill stud out and let you remove wheel and then replace studs.

any good tire shop will have a removal socket that pounds on the rounded/striped nut and will take it right off.

I haven't managed to strip on out yet, the studs break instead.

Wait I don't get it... if the threads are stripped and the nuts won't come off, why not just grab a large breaker bar and break those things off, the studs need to be repalced anyway...

This happened to me once on my Stang. I grinded the stud and nut as far down as I could without hitting the wheel and the nut fell right off. You have to get all the threads off in front of the nut for this to work. And if it doesn't, then at least you won't have to drill as far.

The mistake people make with trying to drill studs out with limited success is that they use the wrong kind of bit to drill them with and they turn to trying to grind them off. Wheel studs are hardened steel and conventional drill bits will have issues with them. Cobalt bits are about as tuff as they get and are designed to drill through hardened materials fairly easily.

listen a 88 its easy its a front you dont have to do any of this i had an 89 ranger 2wd so i know enough to know that when it is stuck like that if you cant take a grinder or saws all to it this is a last resort tactic if you have an impact gun and compressor to power it take them at and angle and they wll come off once you have all the lugs off to get them out of the rotor just use a really big hammer and they will come right out of the rotor
