I was wondering if anyone has any info on swapping a 3.4 liter V6 (5VZ-FE) or a 4.7 liter V8 inta a 1994 Pickup frame. Any kits available or wiring harnesses? Or is the factory harness needed from the donor truck. I have always wanted to swap in the V8 as I think it would be sick.

i personally did a 3.4 swap into a 92 yota pickup it wasn't too bad and the truck runs pretty good, its got a couple codes that im trying to fix so i can have it smogged and finally get it back on the road but i got the wiring harness from off road solutions which made the wiring a lot easier but i would really like to see the 4.7 v8 swap cuz that toyota v8 is a great motor, efficient, light and good power potential not to mention reliable, i don't think it would cost much more for the v8 swap then the 6 so i say go for the V8, by the way it cost me aoubt 3,500 grand to swap motor, 2grand for motor and tranny and the rest in wiring harness and misch.
Solid axle chevys can't be beat! My dream truck: 73-91 chevy 3500 crew cab srw with dana 60/14bolt, 6 inc long travel lift with KING shocks, 37 inc tires and a 24v cummins diesel, nv5600 and np205

Thanks for the info. I definitely want to do the V8. Also will do a solid axle swap and run 37's. If I find anything out I will keep everyone updated.
