Hey everyone I am currently looking at a 1980 Chevy 4x4 truck with a 454, 12" of lift, 44" super swampers on it.
I am kinda new to the "big lifted trucks" but needing soem advice.
This truck when you drive it and attempto to steer it the wheel will spin all the way around one time before turning the tires. They guy at the dealership said that there is some steering part that needs to be bought for the big lifted trucks. What do you guys think about that? Does that sound serious problem or a little bit of front end work problem?

If this is a truck with 12 inch or lift and 44's, there is no simple fix here. It could be a lot of problems. Sounds like steering box is shot or maybe even frame is broken where steering box attaches. If this truck has stock parts (axles, steering and such) it is likely pretty worn out as 44's is really up in rockwell axle territory with custom steering if you want it to last at all. My advise to you is for you to not just walk away from that truck but rather run as fast as possible from it and forget about it. This is not a good beginners project.
