A 2002 1/2 has a lightly built chassis and axles. 35's is about the sane limit with stock axles and 33 is better if you want it to last. Anything beyond 35's is flirting with axle failure. Brakes are going to be lacking too. One foot note that many ignore with a lift if you need to regear axles too otherwise you will be looking at greatly reduced performance and shorter tranny life.

This "myth" on how tuff new 1/2 ton GM P/U's are is because through 87 they basically shared frames with 3/4 ton trucks and while the rear axle was lighter in 1/2 ton model it was easily upgraded and the front axle was the same as used in a 3/4 ton except for hub/bolt pattern. That ended in 88 with 1/2 ton having a lighter front drive axle unique to 1/2 tons and the 3/4 ton front drive axle will not bolt in either and a much lighter frame too. Plus the ball joints on front IFS will have a very short life if you go very larger on tires. A Silverado 1/2 ton is really more car than truck.

hey you saw my pics...I have the 6 rough county lift and 3 rough country body lift..for both it cost me 1400 and it look awesome and rides the same..and i threw a set of 35" BF Goodrich Mud Terrains KM2s..just my opinion..with the IFS you dont want a huge susp lift or your front end will be crap in no time

dude those are some really cool trucks but the guy with the Chevrolet silverado 1500 4x4 you rally REALLY need a big 900 lb pound Ramsey winch or does Ramsey even have a 900 lb winch?
