Due to popular demand we have re engineered our double mount in two different packages! the Back to Back mount and the Extreme Back to Back mount.
Just like the Hardcore Optima Battery Mount, the Double Back to Back Mount is CNC cut from 1/8" Cold Roll Steel Plate, ground finish, and ready to weld or bolt in with the 8- 1/4" countersunk holes.

The Back to Back Mount:

Hi readers here i give you lots of view on the Double Hardcore Back to Back Optima Mount!!! .I bought a yellow top Optima 3 months ago over the internet. To make a long story shorter, it craps out. A 200.00 battery craps out after 3 months? I go to 3 different local dealers of Optima. None are that fired up about the Optima battery- most think it lasts no longer than a regular battery, but costs twice as much. The Optima makes claims of lasting longer, but its warranty does not reflect this claim.

Sorry you paid that much for your Optima, I've been running a red top for over 7 years and it fires up my truck like a champ!  I've had friends take in other Optimas on warranty issues and never had any problems... Most of the reason for even getting an Optima is because it's a dry cell, and needs no maintenance!  The other huge advantage is if you are doing any kind of hardcore wheeling, they are much safer!

Sorry for the bad luck. Contact Optima if your having a hard time getting it replaced.

I never was sold on Optima's. The reason is they are more of a gel cell battery that anything else that have been used in backup power supplies for over 30 years and have limited electrolyte capacity. It is high electrolyte capacity that gives you true high reserve power for extended drain cycles. They can get high stating power by having a higher concentration of plates to electrolyte in cell to make them look good on cranking power but I am also more interested in reserve capacity more than this when a alternator fails on job as did once for me. Also conventional batteries with more reserve capacity cost a lot less and all batteries degrade with time in power capacity and with a cheaper batteries you are not going to want to try to milk it out for many years to recover costs. Optimas may have their applications but they are not a across the board battery replacement as some would suggest.

I fogot to mention to ya about looking into the car stereo crowd also as a way to market your mounts. Ime prety sure the judges would be truly stoked about a safe mount for the multiple battery mounts thes guys need! also the hydraulic jumper crowd would probably gop stupid ove a snazzy and safe way to mount all those juice boxes back in the trunk, a litle research in the low rider mags and also a sister mag of petersens(car stereo review) that could use some fresh ideas like yours!
Speaking of Car stereos, know what'd be cool???
A "safe" for these big ole nu school amps coming out. Get the measurements on some of the high dollar amps, look at Rockford Fosgate,Hifonics(Maxximus) Orion(XTR series) etc. lokk around and find the expensive ones.
Now. I think a perimeterof ancle iron that has hidden fasteners, and is made of some hard to cut/get matierial would be cool. Look at the cooling systems on them and figure out maybe a full cover with built in fans to cool? the gear. air flow is important to the monsters ,but ime pretty sure you have a good idea on how to get around that.
Stffening caps, are another stereo acessory that comes in banks like a 6 or mor pack. find a way to mount a set in a set up like yopu have for your Optimas, better yet and optima mount with provisions for mounting the capacitor/s to the bugger.
happy wheelin!
