Hey everyone i am new to this forum. I have been reading alot of topics and you guys seem to know your stuff. I have a question for you. I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE. I am wanting to get a lift for it to fit about 35 in tires. I am looking at the Calmini lift but that requires some cutting of the OEM parts and i am not sure if i wanna do that. I was also thinking about putting on a body lift as well just for height for bigger tires. I know that that doesnt help with suspension. So if you guys can please help that would be great.

You really have a couple of options.  Fabtech makes a 6 inch and sounds like you already know about the Calmini 5 inch.  Before we go any further, what are you going to be using the truck for?  Are you gonna be wheeling it?  What type of wheeling are you going to be doing?  Is it just gonna be a mall crawler?

All that being said, the Fabtech also requires some cutting. They are both great kits so take your pick.  Both of them will require you to use a front drop-diff kit that lowers your front differential to reduce the CV shaft angles.  The disadvantage to this is you now basically have the same ground clearance under the front diff as you do with a 3 inch lift, but a higher center of gravity. You could also fit 35s with a 3 inch suspension lift and a 2 or 3 inch body lift, with some trimming.  Both of the two kits come with rear blocks and shackles or add-a-leafs.  If you are planning on pre-running the truck and jumping it, I would recommend against the 5+ kits and go with some of the high performance 3 inch lift kit stuff that PRG produces.

Now about the 35s.  Your truck is going to lose a significant amount of performance and right now we do not have any options as far as re-gearing goes.  Just something to think about.
