hey guys got a bud with a 99 2.5 wrangler and just did a plug/wire/cap/roter change and the thing is stumbling under load. drives fine if you dont punch and getts up to speed just fine. but the filter is in the tank and i dont have a fuel pressure gauge on me.any help would be appriciated. but help on thing prone to going out would be very usefull.

2.5 tend to have a flat spot of sorts at times in middle RPMs (around 2500 give or take) because of fuel management and EGR. Sometimes they can get a bit testy. You will find that if you use 89 or better octane fuel it will not only run better but stumble should be less noticeable as well. BTW, I have a 2000 Cherokee with a 2.5 that I bought new and it has almost 100K miles on it know and know it well. It has been quite reliable and fuss's only when you use cheap gas. Still uses no oil to speak of between changes.

appriciate it snow ill tell him to try that next fill up. i also got him to bring it over and i reinstailled all the old things one at a time to see if there was any change and nothing. he says it didnt do it before but i dont see how any of these things would affect its driveability.
