I posted this before but got no responces. Should a truck act like its in 2wd when the hubs are locked in and the tcase is in 4hi instead of 4loc? Or is this the result of a part time conversion kit?

the 203 is kinda like a differential, in 4h it'll transfer power faily evenly, though it will turn the tire with the least resitance just like an open differential. yeah... in some low traction, uphill circumstances only a front tire will turn with a heavy load...
with a part time conversion it makes very strong t-case a little on the weak side. while in 4h the part time kit will act as if it's a rwd 2wd truck with or without the hubs locked.

Thanks! That answers my question then. The guy i bought it off of said "If there is any snow on the ground be sure to put it in 4wd because the locker in the rear locks up instantly and will put you in the ditch" To put it in 4wd i'll have to put it in 4loc. Didnt think you wanted to do this driving on the road especially not if there is dry pavement?????
