Okay, so I decided on the size of tire that I want, but now I have to figure-out what Brand tire will suit my terrain the best! I have a 1973 Scout II 4" Leaf lift and S.O.A. conversion, one ton axles, 5:13's, detroits, Dana 300 t-case, and I know I will be trimming the fenders. I don't do much road driving, maybe 200-300 miles a month. The tire that I need has to well in every condition, in Wisconsin we have lots of deep mud, limestone rocks and ledges, deep snow, ice, loose rock hill climbs, steep dirt hill climbs, rock gardens, fallen down trees & so on. I have, at least, narrowed it down to three major brands: Interco TSL, Interco Irok & BFG KM2. I am also prepared to spend as much money as needed, so that will not be a deciding factor. Traction, performance, & toughness are the main factors here. Can anyone out there tell me, with my terrain, what tire they would go with and why?? Your help is much appreciated!!

Get the irocs there good for all the stuff.Tsls are more off mud and deep water.I dont know about the km2.I'm in mn and we run the irocs,Ground hawgs, tsl and boggers on our mud monsters mostly. You might want to look at the Hawgs again cause there good in a lot of stuff.Write back cause I want to know what you get.It looks like its going to be a beast.Whats the engine in the scout?

The Scout has an IH 392ci improved cooling, and TBI. Initially I was thinking Iroks, how do they compare in the mud compared to the TSL? I would sacrifice a little bit of mud traction for an all-around tire. What about toughness...the TSL compared to the Irok? We wheel in a quarry sometimes and there can be some sharp, jagged edges that will cut a tire if you're not carefull. Right now I run 35" Boggers and I do like them but I've heard Irok's and TSL's are a better "all-around" tire. I have a buddy that I wheel with that has a Jeep buggy, all custom built and he runs 44" Hawgs that are slightly cut & grooved in the center and only measure 40", anyway, he doesn't seem to have a lot of traction on the rocks like some of the Iroks or TSL's that we see out on the trails, it seems like the compound on the Hawgs isn't as soft, but I must say his Hawgs do very well in everything else, and it's a very tough tire. Thanks for the reply!

From what I've seen the tsl and Iroc are both pretty good in the mud. The Bogger tops them both. But I must say I think that the TSL is better in deep clay type mud then the Irok. But if you want the best all around tire then go with the Iroc.If you cut the boggers then those would beat out both the TSL and Irok.On the rocks the Iroks beat out both the cut boggers and TSL's.Now in the sand and light mud(not clay) the Irok is king. The Irok and Tsl both clean the treads out about the same.If it was me I'd be happy with the Tsls but would be up grading to the Iroc as soon as they wore out or some one offerd to buy them. Good luck with the Scout.

Thanks very much for the good info! I am thinking I will go with the Iroks. I haven't heard anything but good things about them and they seem like they are the best "all-around" tire. Thanks again!
