I'm new to the game and would like to know practicality of putting a solid axle under my '83 fullsize bronco.

I'm not hijacking this forum, but I've answered this same questions too many times here.  Go to www.fullsizebronco.com.  They've got an awesome thread on Ford SAS.  All you need is there.

There are so many variables with axles, steering, type of suspension.

Its very easy to do, but go read and read and read and read.  You'll be set.  Good Luck
