If you have any quesions on if a 400ford is any good check out www.enginemasters.com. My guy scott at www.mpgheads.com took 6th and several other versions of the 400ford place well and won the competition. Jon Kaase the inventor of the Supercobrajet aluminum head and the new p51scj head. He builds lots of engines and just happen to like fords. He's involved in IHRA and truck pullin truck heavily and dragsters. Pick your pleasure and he's into it. the competition had ford, chevy dodge and pontiac and many other engines involved. Their are very good combinations that are related to what we do and lots of tech stuff?? On the contest they run the engine from 2500 to 6500rpm and take a average hrspwr/torque and calculate cubic inch to see who builds the most efficient and most hrspwr/torque per cubic inch. These are 10.5 to 1 compression and run on 92octane. Good info and check it out!! I like ford stuff!!
