i recently decide to wait on my sas conversion on my 96 chevy due to financial reasons well i decided to add some keys to my ifs to level the truck out but im need torsion bar unloader tool anyone got used one for sale i dont see spending 100 bucks on tool ill hardly ever use

well called around here and noone has one to rent most places couldnt even get one lol but i do live in small town but i called other 4wd shops and stuff and all they could do is order new one

Well if you can get one for 100 bucks it might not be a bad investment because then general go from more than that new on line. It would not be a bad addition to tool box and you may becomes others "best friend" because they want to borrow/use tool. You could even buy it and probably resell it on Ebay for close to what you have in it so you will not be stuck with it either. When you mess with Tbars you want a proper tool in good order anyway.

i heard u can use a ball joint press tool will that work but if not ill probably go ahead and invest in the tool

Do not take chances here. The energy in those bars can do a lot of damage if they get away from tool.

You can't get one from Auto Zone? They rent a lot of specialty tools where I come from.

no autozone doesnt rent them but think ill purchase the tool. heres another ? im running 3inch body lift and thinking of going 2to3 inch suspension so i can run some 35s should i either order a skyjacker 2.5 inch lift or the rough country 3inch lift or just order some torsion bar keys ? what do yall think

I've used a 3-jaw gear puller in place of a t-bar puller before, same difference.
Or, you do go this route. Back the adjuster bolt all the way out, remove the front tire, support the lower arm, remove the upper a-arm from the spindle, lower the arm all the way down. This will take the pressure off the bar too and it will slide right out with out the tool.
