i have bought a 94 np241 out of a half ton truck, also bought a 97 4l60e transmission out of a s10 blazer that had a np233? but i noticed the adapter from the 241 and the 233 are different lengths. so i was wondering if any of you guys know weather a np241 off a 4l60e will work with a 4l60e from a s10 blazer.

is the shaft length different in a 1500 truck different than the shaft from a s10 blazer? thank you

While I have not seen them side by side it stands to reason that tranny in a S10 is going to have a shorter output shaft and housing because of shorter wheel base and shorter drive shafts. Also your S10 tranny could actually be a 4L30e and not a 60. They started using them in 93 with 4 cyl and some V6's in S10's. tranny looks similar but is different internally and has taller gear ratios and reduced torque capacity and would not fare well behind a V8.

never mind i did some research and the 4l30e looks a lot different from mine so i'm positive i have a 4l60e. does anyone happen to have one laying around from a 1500 4x4 that they could measure the the tail shaft?
