Most curious. That truck came with a stainless steel alloy exhaust system. It should still be good after 5 or 6 years. Where is it leaking?

Did it fail at a weld? (it is a stainless alloy, just not the shiny kind but welds are not stainless)

sometimes mufflers have whats called a weep hole, which is a small hole in the end of the muffler to let condensation escape so as to not let the water rust out the muffler... I worked in an exhaust shop for 6 years I've see  stainless mufflers rot out in as little as 4 years.... most of the time exhaust is only covered under the 3/36 part of the warranty...  saw that a few times when I was still working at the dealership

yep...thats what I saw at the dealership I was at for 6yrs...and we had either the gibson exhaust system or the corsa exhaust system to upgrade for this kind of failure...both were SS kits...on the same note Ive always ran flowmaster for years and never had a problem w/them and they also make kits too.

probably did.we just cut the muffler off for now so it sound like super good!!!!and were getting a new exhaust + muffler system so that instead of the exhaust being like half way up it will be all the way down and as for the exhaust well lets just say its going to be just solid stainless steel.what do you guys think about that???
