I too would like to here about the BFG KM2. I love the old BFG Mud-Terrains(KM)! Anyone know how the new style compares?

I have them on my daily driver a 2002 Chevy Silverado and I love them. Their manners on the road are awesome. Not that it matters but the road noise is less than the old MT's and off-road they come alive. I am stationed up in the North country of New York and they are great in the Mud/Snow here. I havent tried them in the sand or rocks but I am sure they are great their too. As a testament to their ruggedness, I was out four wheeling and clipped a tree with the tire and the force of the impact sheered off the upper and lower ball joints, broke the bottom of my steering knuckle off and also sheered the outer tie rod end. After the wheel was separated from the truck it went on to rip off the rear of my right side quarter panel. I looke at the tire and it other than having bark in the treads it was ready for more. Didnt even come off the bead with a bent rim. THEY ARE DEFINITELY WORTH GETTING.

Thanks, they souond good!
How many miles do you have on them and how are they wearing? What's your ratio of on-road vs off-road driving?

Im also thinking about getting these tires, but now Im wondering if I shouldnt get a lessor set... thereby trashing a tire to save the truck? (just kidding
They accuse me of wandering aimlessly through the desert naked and alone, but thats simply untrue... I have a cat.

I have around 10000 miles and they are wearing pretty good. I have only had generic MT's before so I can't really say how well they are wearing. They have worn down a little but not enough to effect off road performance. I only drive about a mile to work on paved roads but have had some longer trips on highway. Out of the 10000 miles Roughly 4000 were out on the trails.

Havent ran em, Debated buying em but I went with the Toyo MT. They where about $200 bucks a tire cheaper. I love the Toyos though. I have close to 30,000 on em and they are just under half tread. They are great in the mud and snow, and they handle really good on the highway very little road noise to. Hard to find in a mud tire

My work truck was outfitted with these tires and I've run them for about 7000+ miles, most of which is spent in offroad conditions. From rocky roads to a soil combination ranging from sand to a very slick clay composite when wet. After several snow and rain storms I would have to say that their performance in the mud and snow is not so great. They allow too much lateral travel. I don't recall having as much trouble with the old tread design. So now, after almost sliding off the side of a hill, I'm in the process of having them replaced with the TOYO Open Country MT's. A few guys in our crew have switch to these and have had far less trouble with them in the mud and snow and have also gotten more miles out of them.

Get em. I got a nice deal on 285/75R/16's for 900 at my local store. I put them on my '96 dodge ram and they perform amazing. Went down to a place we call the meadows. Thick mud and rocks were there where not many can go. Hell, i went right in there, caked all 4 of those babies and got out like no problem. The side walls dug in as well as self cleaned instantly, making them keep digging. Got 8 inches of snow here between today and tonight, well i went out and done some playing around the neighborhood and around town. the first inch of snow its a lil slippery and you have to watch out. After that your golden and the more snow you get, the deeper they can dig giving you maximum traction. These are my first set of mud terrains and give them a 10/10, 5 star rating. If you have any more questions, you can definitley shoot a PM to me and be happy to answer your questions.

I have a set of 37's on an '85 half ton dodge and they are great! I drive 40 miles every weekday and they perform the best of any oversized mud tire i've ever seen on pavement. My truck has 8" of lift and weighs around 7,000 pounds and the tire wears very slowly. I run mostly mud and they clean and dig very well. Mine have seen a little sand and they weren't sand tires by any means but they did better than most mud terrains. These are exceptional tires just be warned the rocks will kill your paint job and they sling anything from pebbles to big hand filling rocks!
