Brakes..I need help..

So I have a 51 willys wagon I have put a chevy motor tranny transfercase front and rear end. I am now moving on to the brakes system and I have a jeep cherokee booster and master cylinder. I was wondering if that will work to power the brakes. Is there any special considerations that I need to take into account like the changing of proportioning valves or...? Any one with some advice that would be much appreciated. Thanks
