has anyone built custom roll bars for a 73-87 chevy not just for show and looks but for protection?

You might check with Off Road Design in Carbondale, CO.  They are the gurus when it comes to building Chevy trucks!  Here is their website:

i looked on off road design and couldnt find anything about roll bars buti found a place called autoweldchassis.com and they offer roll cages and roll bars for pretty much anything you can think of even 73-87 full sizes so ill try them but off road design does have some good stuff on their.
