Hey guys I have been a reader of 4 wheel & off road for some time now and I enjoy it. Lately I have been reading the articles about land closers and know how it feels to have a place where you have wheeled in the past and have enjoyed it only to have it now closed because of some people who could careless about the land we wheel on and the people who live near it. We have people who have been stealing cars and taking them to the places we wheel and burning them, not to mention the broken beer bottles and trash thrown around as well as tearing up the roads that people drive every day.  Well I myself would like to change that, but buy myself  I can not. I have an idea that mite help keep the remaining land we use open and possibly reopen the other areas. My idea is to start an off road club and throught that clean up the land still avaible to us and then try to reopen the others. My problem is I do not really know how to go about it. I mean I know that it only takes a few people to start a club but thats it. Any help or advice would be welcome thanks

Man I had know idea how hard it was to start a club. All the people I talked to about joining laffed at me when I told them that part of what we would be doing would be maintaining the roads to get to the land since it runs through a neigborhood and that there would be no alcohol while wheeling. Not to mention the owner of the land running   me off his land with a shotgun when I went to talk to him about what we would do as a club to keep the land we use free of trash and help him improve it.He told me that he had bought the land to keep it open for offroading but with the way people have been treating the land and not following the rules that he set, he says that he is going to call the cops on any one he finds back there and put up fences and gates

Man that is terrible... what is wrong with people these days? I guess nobody cares anymore.

Well keep fighting the good fight, and keep up the good work! It's going to be tough but remember that you are doing the right thing!
