Kajun Mudfest, March 13-15, 2009 - Amite, Louisiana

This was just officially announced this week, so I wanted to give everybody the "heads up"!
The "Kajun Mudfest" will be hosted at the Florida Parishes Arena in Amite, Louisiana on the weekend of March 13-15, 2009. Amite is located approx. 1 hour North of New Orleans near I-55.
The event will feature 2 side-by-side mud racing pits with classes for trucks and ATVs. There will also be kids activities, so a fun weekend for all ages!
Entry fees and admission will be very reasonable and the cash prize purses will be nice! Plans are to make this an annual event, so they're doing everything they can to encourage participation at this inaugural event.
RV parking will be available onsite. There are over 30 sites with power and water and acres more where you can park and use your generator. Facility has nice hot showers and other facilities, it's top-notch.
A website is under construction with all the information, as soon as it is up or other information becomes available, I'll be back to let you know. Like I said, this was a "heads up" so you can plan for the date!

Here's the latest info, with this event only about 2 weeks away!!
Rules, classes and payouts have been posted on the arena's website, fparena.com
Entry fee is $25 per racer, per day. Non-racer pit admission is $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. Gates will open at Noon on Saturday and Sunday, RV campers may arrive beginning at 3 pm on Friday, if you wish. Spectator grandstand admission is $10 for adults and teenagers, $5 for youth age 4-12 and those 3 & under are admitted free.
We're also hosting a Miss Kajun Mudfest swimsuit contest during the Saturday evening events (PG-rated only, please).

Vendor opportunities are also available, at very low cost, so contact us about that if you're interested as well!
