I have to say, the SSR's I have on my truck don't do good on ice but I know they are alot better when you have them siped. A friend of mine did that to his and he goes on the ice where I just spin. It doesn't matter what the tire pressure is either.

Siped does help a lot.It is also known to improve tire life.Oils in the tire keeping the rubber from drying out(or something like that)

Maybe a 351 or a 460 is in the future when my current engine dies.mayb I will get anouther Ford when mine kicks the can. I think I will go with the BFG KM2 in 35-37" size. It seems like the perfect all-around tire on the market right now.Really all I need for my truck is a e4od tranny w/ a tcase for my plans to come together. I plan on getting a broncograveyard.com straight axle kit, a dana 44 front end and 4.88-5.29 gearsand a 6" rear lift springs. If you find a fault in this plan please tell me.

No I dont see a fault in it.It sounds that you have your plan pretty well done up.But if you do up grade the motor to a 351 or 460 or even go to 40s you might want to think about a Dana60.Maybe a body lift.A 4.88 is good but with the od tranny maybe a 5.13.Sounds like its going to be a kick-ass DD truck.

mnyman92: what does sipped mean?
It means that you modify you treads by cutting grooves in them to allow for better traction.

I do want to say one thing, I WANT AN EARLY BRONCO. I would do a lot of things to get one. If it was runable I would trade my truck in for one because they are the BEST vehicle EVER.

Sipe, Siped, or Siping: Small cuts across tread surface of tire to create a "biting" edge for the tire to grip a surface better.

I could find you a 80s bronc witha dana 60 front 351 and 9 in the back and a winch on 35 already.A early one might take a bit thought.

You ever see one of those mini pick up/half cab broncs.I had one sitting at a used car dealer ship in my town for about a year.I think they finally just junked it.It had a lot of bondo but it had a 289 Hi-Po 'stang motor in it and a 3 speed on the floor. It was a neat little truck.

If you gotta ask you cant afford it For a running moter probly about 1500. A core for 300-500.And a "Built" one 2000-10,000.Thats for a drag pro built moter.
