Hello everyone,

I have tried to other sites, one specifically for Isuzu's, and nobody seems to know anything.  Plenty of veiws, but no responses.  Can somebody please help me.  I am looking to lift my 2001 Trooper.  I want to start with a 3 to 3.5" lift, the only one I can find is from a company that has one for around $600 and one that seems better for around $2500.  Is $2500 dollars a fair amount for a good heavy duty lift?  Also where can I find more lift options for the Trooper, finding stuff for Troopers is nearly impossible.

I also need help finding miscelaneous parts, like light switches and door handles for the in terior of the Trooper.  I want to fix up the inside and ruggedize the outside of my Trooper.  It's a sturdy little SUV and PAID FOR.  I plan on keeping it and fixing it up.

Can someone please help me?

Did you check out the Calmini site?
I'm not sure about Isuzu's but with time any one can find any thing.
I drive a Nissan Pathfinder and I under stand where your coming from, though nissans have more stuff out there.
why not start by maybe doing a bogy lift and some fender flares(cut the metal away under neth them and spray them good with some good self-ethicing primer and go over it with POR-15 or truck bed liner.
Hope this helps some.

I'll check that site out.

The body lift isn't really what I'm looking for. In GA you have to leave the bumbers mounted to the frame and it leaves a huge gap between the front and rear and the bumbers, it looks funny.  My trooper already has pretty large flares from the factory, not really liking the idea of cutting any metal on the Trooper.  I found a 3.5" lift, just don't know if the price is right or not.  I'm looking into it though.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

Check out Independent4x.com. Call and ask Matt if you have questions. You can get OME 919 coils and a 2in spacer for 3 - 3.5in lift; Crank the torsion bars, flip the ball joints. Mine's been that way for years, no issues at all, and it's a DD. You don't need a packaged lift, just OME springs and Rancho RS5000 shocks for starters. The HD torsion bars are nice if you want a firmer ride up front, and very good idea if you get the ARB bullbar bumper and Warn M8000 winch.

PlanetIsuzu.com

rocky-road.com - you can get the OME 919 coils here cheaper.

Good luck

Do check out cal-mini as well, they've been doing Isuzu fro a long time.
Cranking torsion bars will get you some height, but will aso stiffen your ride. Also, for the height you gain, you will loose in travel in the other direction (you can't get something for nothing).

And if ride is a concern, definetly go with Old Man Emu (OME). Lift kits with an excellent ride is what they do.
Around 2001 I put an OME kit on a buddies 96 Trooper. It rode and handled better than my then almost new 2000 Trooper.

yo!

finally, some life in this forum!

I am also in the market for a lift, and OME seems to be the most reasonably priced.  What exactly comes in their "complete" kits?

judging by the price, its just F/R shocks and rear coil springs?
