What transfer case are you running on your truck is it a NP 205 and if so what year? I was told to do that I would need to mod my transfer case. Mine is a 83 and older NP 205 not sure what to do or wear to get parts for this mod.

DodgeBeatR,
Here's my take. I have a 76' PW w/33's that had them nasty hubs but its now refreshed with total 83' selectable half-ton fronts and 9.25" rear. It was a very EZ swap minus the $400 I shelled out for the parts at a yard. Easy bolt on application.
Trust me I ran outta options for used parts on them damn 76'hubs. No parts to be found or they were no better than my olds. So I tried MileMarkers Conversion with mild results, you still use them crappy bearings. Hence it left me stranded ONCE and from then on I vowed to do a total replacement. A lil work now but totally worth it!

I think it would be for the best if you just change from your knuckles out on your original axle. Swapping to a Dana 60 front end will open up a can of worms that you never planned on. First off, your bolt pattern for your rims will be different unless you get the special D60 hubs with the half-ton bolt pattern. Or you carry two different sets of rims. Or you can also switch your rear end out to a D60 or 70 as well and then get a set of rims with the 8-lug pattern. Secondly you would have to change your u-joint at the axle in your front driveshaft. the D60 front end uses a larger u-joint than the D44 does. I've been told there are special u-joint crosses that are availiable to correct this but no one that I have asked has ever been able to find one. I ended up getting my front driveshaft modified so it had the larger u-joints installed into it. My suggestion? Find a half-ton dodge pickup with the selectable hubs and swap out the knuckles and hubs. it will be the cheapest
