I am thinking about grabbing a limited slip diff for my 74 powerwagon from a junkyard to use as just a helper until i can build big boy axles for it. It has a 318 4speed, 205 t-case, locking hubs, 35x12.5-15's and a 6" skyjacker lift.  Maybe i should just weld the spiders like i did in the back. Will tight cornering with one wheel unlocked survive with a welded diff.  which is a better idea.  I wheel in the rocky mountain foot hills in  Alberta.  THANX...

i wouldn't weld it but if u do let me know how it works. i would recomend an aussie locker or a lock right one, for the cost. http://www.aussielocker.com/ or http://www.richmondgear.com/powertrax/lockright.html

p.s. i live in calgary

thanks for the info I will look into these units a little further.  I like the low price
and I would like to see if the unit will fit into my 01 offroad edition when i scrap the old axles.
