I've found a 1969 Dodge D100 w/ the 170ci. its 2wd 4spd. w/Reverse. The owner is my landlord, he says he hasn't driven the truck in 10 years, but the plates expired in 85 so i'm thinking its been 20 years. He also said that the motor and trans is good, cause it was running when he parked it. But it was parked cause the u-joint in the drive shaft got all *** up. He wanted $50 for it so ,of course, i bought it. Right now the tires are in his garage so they didn't get rotted, the cab floor is good, fenders have a little rot on the top, bed has a small hole in it, Paint is extremely faded, otherwise its in pretty good shape for sittin so long.  Is it worth putting a bigger motor in it (thinking hemi), turbo trans, performance drive shaft, and posi rear end, drag radials? Possibly turning it into a show car or low class drag truck. Or should I just junk it for $150.

As with any build the truck has to be something that you want to invest the time and money on.  As far as your performance end of things it boils down to what you want.  It is an old truck and she's a big one you could fit anything you want under the hood.  Hemi sure, 440 no prob, stroker small block you bet. Ford powertrain or chev.  It is your build you decide.  As far as selling it... if you can get it running and driving it is worth more to you or your potential buyers.
