I have a 1997 gmc z-71 that was used as a daily driver and work horse up until now.  I already have NV-4500 trans. 14 bolt semi float rear with 4.10 gears, and 3" body lift and running 35's. It's been a great truck but now that I don't have to drive it every day I'd like to step it up a notch and run 38s or 40s.  I'm thinking of getting the oru sas kit w/ longer front 4" springs for more flex and using a ford high pinion dana 44 or 60 in the front and adding lockers both front and rear.  I use the truck mostly in mud, but also travel some steep hills and rocky trails, but no major rock crawling.  Would the 14 bolt semifloater be strong enouth to run 38's, and could I build a ford high pinion 44 strong enough?  I also have a dan 70, 3hd rearend I could use, but its really heavy.  I'd like to keep it light for the mud, but I wheel pretty hard somtimes and I'd rather be wheeling than wrenching.  Any advice or input about the project would be appriciated.
