guys got delima!!!!! oil cooler lines, do i need them if i dont have the external oil cooler??? just got egine rebuilt, nothing big same stock vortec with bigger cam. the oil cooler is in radiator and on the hot water side. if i cap the oil lines off and dont use them will i runn into problems. 350vortec, 458lift cam, bored 40 over, i will be towing 30 ft camper at the most with it and i drive it ever day. please help need some input. dont know how chevy sets up there radiators, but have been told the oil cooler is on the hot side of radiator, so the hot oil going in really dont get cooled enough to make a difference, been told by race car builder, to cap it and leave it alone or get an external oil cooler. i just want to make sure i dont run the oil to hot and then be running on burt engine oil and dont know it until its to late. thanks

since you already have thecooler lines, i would get an external cooler and take advantage of that, since you can never be too careful, having an external cooler hooked up, haulin that 30 foot camper you'd never have to worry about running the oil too hot

I dropped a different motor in my 98 and took the cooler off. It hasn't made a bit of difference.
