just bought an 84 k10 jimmy. got the 305 motor, 700r4 trans, and np208 case. the trans is leaking out the bellhousing where the upper and lower halves come together.(bad gasket). i was curious how easy or if it was possible to swap out the 700r4 for a sm465 4-speed manual?i know i will need to scavenge a clutch and probably a transfer case also but why look if you dont even know if its possible? i have tried to get advanced adapters to help as i am looking at their rebuilt sm465 but cant get a reply back for *** i could fix the automatic trans but prefer to have the manual as i think its easier to wheel in and its shadetree mechanic(i.e. me) fixable. any help who be great!!!!thanks guys!!!
