output shaft swap!

hey i got the output shaft and the clutch drum out of the THM 350(gotta look real close for them snap rings)... Now i have a two wheel drive THM 700R4,its toatl length is 2" longer than the turbo 350. will the small output shaft out of the turbo 350 work in the 700R4. If anyone knoes please let me know before i tare this good tranny apart. (both have detachable rear nose cones.
