i found a tip that you can take the rear leaf springs from a 78 dodge nd run them on the front for 4 inches of lift is this true?

If there the same length i wouldn't see why not but that would be one helluva rough ride. Let me know how many times your head bounces off of the roof!!  
1980 K20 400 hp 350 4 spd np 205 dana 44 14 bolt posi 6 inch lift 33 inch tires and 4.10 gears

i bought a set of 6" front springs for mine and they are very close in appearance to the factory rear.  length is a little different but I think you could re-locate the the hangar/shackle to work ... and a block under the steering bar on the left knuckle is a must.
