1989 Dodge Ramcharger

I just recently traded a 155gal. fish tank for a 1989 Dodge Ramcharger. The lady thought the trans was out. Well when i went to pick up the truck all the way out in the boonies, i checked the trans fluid. No probs with the color or odor. So i decided to giv er a shot and tried to start it. Suprisingly it started no problem after sitting 4 years. I let it idle for a couple minutes to make sure everything was working right. I took it out of 4x4 and put it in drive. It wanted to move but it would cut out. so After another 10 minutes of ideling it decided to grow some balls. I gave on the gas and wouldn't you know it was stuck in the mud lol. SO i gave er hell and drove it out. I then drove it 16 miles to my house, wiht no problems. The lady got 6 dui's and lost her DL for ever lol. And i know what some of you are thinking, how could i not notice it stuck in the mud. Well when i did a walk around the ground was dry and the tires were about an inch in the ground (just thinking it was from sitting so long)when i tried to go it dug deeper, enveiling the hidden mud. The ramcharger has got a 318(it says 320 on the valve cover)V8 5.2L, automatic trans, 4x4, some minor fender rust, and surface floor rust. All in all i think i got a hell of a truck for dirt cheap. I will put it up in the readers ride section in a couple days. Just waiting for a not so rainy day to show it off.

1988 Dodge Power Ram 250 5.2L 318CID EFI, Granny Geared 4spd manual,8 bolt Dana 60 Back and 8 bolt Dana 40 front, 4x4, Custom Rear and front bumper, CB, Has electric trailer brake module, Motor Replaced with napa Rmfd engine last year, new cluth along with new u-joint on entire truck.

OH, I forgot to mention the truck has an complete maintenance record upto 1997. Which has almost all required maintenance done. Its had the trans flushed a couple times and new fluid and trans filters, oil changes every 2000 miles, and plugs every two oil changes.Its also got 128,459 miles on it. So its a very well kept up motor, even after this lady bought it. She just never kept records. Right now it does need new plugs, wires, distributor, dist. rotor, and an oil change.

Just so you know... the heads on a 2 barrel 318 after 85 should be closed chamber and are a great for a small block build.
