i wanna put the 4.3L with a 700r4 into my 1979 toyota pickup.  Just wanted to know what years of motors and trannies will match? which years were the strongest? Can i get a intake and carb to put on a fuel injected vortec.  should I just buy a smaller blazer or jimmy would it have a 700R4 tranny?

find a wrecked jimmy or blazer and take the engine, trans, and t-case out. find an early 90's one with tbi.
