is tuff country the only company that sells a suspension lift for a 97 dakota, and if so do they have bigger then a 5.5"

They are probably not the only, but definitely one of the few.
Why not call and ask if they have bigger than a 5.5? Thats going to be the fastest most reliable way to get an answer.

if i go with that 5.5 in. lift, should i go with 35s or 37s... my 97 dodge dakota already has a 3 in. body lift...my cousin has the same lift on his old ford, a 3in. body with a 6 in. suspension with a 309 engine in it and it drives well...what size of tires would be best to where i wouldnt have to do alot of expensive changing on my truck if i have a 5.2 l.(318)engone...

35's would be best for the dodge Dakota that way you can stay on the cheap and yes I think they are rancho makes a 3 inch suspension lift also.

35 is already enough just like what danno said. For your first questions, I also go with 5.5. I asked from my friend who owns a repair shop.
